this site features conscious creative practices, events, and images created by Margaret Lindsey, mfa.
she is a life-long painter, educator, creativity mentor and facilitator, and defines “art” as a creative action taken, as the process of inquiry, as a quest.
Margaret has mentored and taught transformative art processes for decades, and is passionate about that work. She guides expressive art and healing experiences in various settings, including zoom. Many of her classes and meditation practices are adapted or inspired by the graduate seminars she taught in the Arts & Consciousness program at J.F.K. University, in Berkeley, CA.
her approach to creativity and consciousness begins with this belief: engaging with multiple aspects of the self while learning and healing allows transformation of consciousness to occur. When people actively create, sourcing themselves holistically, they are essentially engaging in creative cross-training. Quantum change occurs when the entire being is involved: when the somatic, emotional, cognitive and meditative aspects of self are all engaged.
margaret lives and paints in the mountains outside of Nevada City, CA, and shows her acrylic paintings in galleries, community spaces and online.
